Here’s our conversation with Courtney—she’s 29, a mail clerk, based in Georgia and has been using Curology since 2024. Courtney was initially skeptical about trying out Rx skincare, but now she says her skin is pretty much flawless. She sticks to her Curology routine to maintain clear skin to this day.

Hi Courtney. How long have you been using Curology? It's been about a year now.
How did you hear about Curology? I was actually scrolling on Instagram and an ad popped up and I decided to interact with the ad. What skincare were you using before Curology? I was using a couple of soaps I had found on TikTok and it wasn't really working well for me, so it kind of burned my skin. Yeah. Were you worried Curology wouldn’t work for you? Yes, I was very skeptical. But I was still like, okay, it is 20% off. If it doesn't work, I'll just cancel this subscription. But, I definitely still went ahead and did it. Now we're here a year in and still using it. What does the rest of your routine look like? I'm using Deep Cleanse, and then I use the HydroTret and Dark Spot Serum at nighttime. In the daytime, I wash with Deep Cleanse, use the vitamin C serum, and the Hydro+ sunscreen. What was the process of signing up for Curology like? It's super easy to sign up and it was super easy to communicate with the provider. They were so informational. Any questions I had, they were able to give me the help that I needed and they also helped me establish my routine. Even if I add some different stuff that you guys offer, I say, how do I incorporate this into my new routine? They'll give me the new step-by-step routine. So I really like that about Curology. What were the issues you were experiencing with your skin before Curology? Sometimes I would have random breakouts, and then with the soap that I was using from TikTok, I got burned. I had a real big hyperpigmentation spot on my cheeks and it was just flaking and peeling. When I started using Curology, I was like, what? It's gone. Did you notice a change quickly? Yes, yes. It was quick. I would say about a couple weeks. Do you have a memory of when you realized your treatment was working for you? Yeah, after a couple of weeks going to work, I actually got a couple compliments from people at work saying, oh, your skin looks so bright, what are you doing? I'm like, I got a new skincare routine. So yes, that made me more confident. I can go out and talk to people now and talk to my friends without feeling like I have to cover my face or talk to them like that. So that was definitely a huge confidence booster.
Did you talk to any friends or family about your experience? Yeah, yeah. I have a friend that has skin problems and I've tried to recruit her to start with Curology. What did it feel like to get your first box and start using Curology for the first time? I was actually very excited. As soonI had seen that it got delivered, I ran right to the mailbox and I was like, had to try it right away. When I started [using] my little Deep Cleanse and it was tingling, I was like, yes, something is happening here. We are feeling something. So I was excited. I was ready to get the journey going. Do you feel confident talking about your skin now with other people? I definitely feel more confident talking to people about my skin. Definitely. If you could go back and tell yourself last year anything, what would you say? I would say, girl, you’re being skeptical and you should’ve started doing Curology because all these skin problems would've probably subsided by now. I mean, yeah, I actually like the fact that Curology lets you take pictures and you can see your journey from when you first started. That's one of the things I did. I said, wow, I came a super long way. This is a drastic change from when I first started. If you had to sum up your journey with Curology in one word or phrase, what would it be? I feel most proud about the texture of my skin. It is so soft to the touch and almost no blemishes. I almost never break out anymore. I feel like my skin is pretty much perfect at this point. I think this is one of the best decisions I made for my skin ever.
