What’s a launch without a party? To celebrate our new cleanser and moisturizer, team Curology set up a special #treatyoskin event in sunny Los Angeles with a little help from our friends — and plenty of special guests.

The who’s who

The next-level decorations

Catering: vegan matcha-glazed donuts by Donut Friend, cakes and cake pops by Sugar Crush Sweets. On the savory side, Bites & Bashes brought the fruit skewers, bacon-wrapped dates, and dried figs with vegan ricotta.

Between our in-house creative team and a host of specialty vendors, we decked out the space at Festoon with exclusive installations. Curology art director Ed Ng and designer Emily Yates teamed up to create all of the environmental graphics, with Ed spearheading the photo wall.

“We wanted the atmosphere to feel sweet and fun, but simple,” Emily says. “We always want to acknowledge that skincare is oftentimes a sensitive subject, but we also think that skincare can and should be really fun, not to mention a personal experience. We wanted to create designs that spoke to that.”

“We set this up so people could take fun boomerangs! We wanted to spark interaction with the space and among the attendees themselves, because we believe in sparking community and connection any way we can,” Emily says.

“Our translucent totes were a big hit, and the transparency was an intentional part of the design. We love all things clear, because it reminds us of our #1 goal which is to help more people achieve clear skin. Honesty and transparency about the skincare we offer is super important to us, and we wanted to communicate that — and at the same time, to show off the awesome new skincare box sets that Ed designed!”

Wild Child Party created this eye-popping balloon installation in Curology’s favorite color. 💜 Funny story: when we showed up to the venue for the setup, the pink balloon installation had been left from a previous event. It looked so good with our own, we decided to keep it up!

Floral designer Nu Leaf Design provided gorgeous bouquets that really livened up the space.

The party favors

@macnc40 & @timaloveslemons raise a toast to glowy skin.

Last but certainly not least, we served up a delectable selection of sweet and savory treats. The mixologists at Paradise Bar Events (@paradisebarevents) served up two special cocktails: the Cotton Candy Spritz, made with Winc wine; and Unicorn Afternoon, made with Plymouth gin.

Our friends and guests snacked on vegan matcha-glazed donuts by Donut Friend, plus cakes and cake pops by Sugar Crush Sweets. On the savory side, Bites & Bashes brought the fruit skewers, bacon-wrapped dates, and dried figs with vegan ricotta.

We paired with Bon Puf to provide the cotton candy cart, complete with exclusive customized touches. “We really wanted to hone in here on the campaign’s treat theme,” Curology’s Emily says. “Bon Puf created little custom Curology sugar tags for us — we’re pretty big into customization, so that was cool!”

That’s a wrap

At the end of the day, two of our biggest values are customization and personalization. We want always want our community to have a personal experience, whether it’s being able to message your dermatology provider or being able to connect with Curology employees at a product launch event. And the custom treats, designs, and just-for-fun features are all representative of our belief in skincare designed for your unique skin.
