Anna Ballard, PA-C is a licensed and certified physician assistant who has happily relocated to San Diego and focused her area of practice on dermatology.Prior to transitioning to dermatology, Anna practiced in family medicine at an underserved community health center in far northern California. At this underserved practice, her patients waited months to years to see dermatologists and other medical specialists due to wait lists and lack of providers in that area. They often had to travel more than two hours by car to reach these specialist appointments for which they had waited so long. She witnessed how the initiation of telemedicine care in this clinic was able to cut down on these wait times and enabled patients to get the care they needed more quickly and at a lower cost. She is excited to be a part of Curology's team and to use telemedicine to provide affordable, high-quality, and timely access to dermatology care to all patients regardless of geographic or insurance barriers.Anna has struggled with acne, eczema, and sensitive skin, and like many, she had trouble tolerating traditional acne medications. She is eager to help patients using Curology's array of formulations so that they can tolerate treatment better and see positive changes in their skin with these medications that have been fine-tuned for their unique skincare needs. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
